How much is UCR for 2027?
The lowest 2027 fee is $55 for a covered entity in the 0 to 2 vehicle bracket. Larger fleets pay the fee for their applicable bracket.
| Fleet bracket | 2027 |
|---|---|
| 0 to 2 | $55 |
| 3 to 5 | $167 |
| 6 to 20 | $333 |
| 21 to 100 | $1,163 |
| 101 to 1,000 | $5,548 |
| 1,001 or more | $54,165 |
These are the registration fees adopted in the FMCSA final rule. They are fees per entity, not a charge for each vehicle. For the changes from last year, see 2026 and 2027 UCR fees.
What does an owner-operator pay?
An owner-operator required to register, with a UCR fleet count in the 0 to 2 bracket, pays a $55 registration fee for 2027. Whether a separate registration is required depends on the business and its operations. The official eligibility questionnaire helps establish whether UCR applies.
