Who in Minnesota needs Clearinghouse queries

Each covered driver must be queried at least once each year. An employer can use a limited query for the annual requirement if it has the driver’s general consent. If the limited query shows that information exists, the employer must conduct a full query within 24 hours. If that full query is not completed within 24 hours, the driver cannot continue performing safety-sensitive functions until the required query is completed and the result allows the driver to work.
